Scott joined Hinds Blunden in 2001 and with over 20 years’ experience in the construction and engineering industries is skilled in planning, programming and associated time analysis. Undertaking a variety of site based programming, time and cost administration tasks he has assisted Contractors and Principals at tender, during construction and in dispute resolution.

As a planner and programmer Scott has been involved in both the preparation and review of numerous programs for the purposes of tendering and on active projects. His project experience ranges from small scale developments though to high value landmark projects where he has advised both Contractors and Principals. Working closely with project staff, senior management and legal teams he has also advised clients in the areas of contract management, project costs and the preparation and assessment of claims.

Scott has utilised his extensive project experience in assisting clients by providing advice in various forms of dispute resolution as well as drafting expert evidence for dispute proceedings. His industry experience extends across many areas of building and civil works as well as engineering projects including:

  • Commercial and residential high rise
  • Hospitals and medical facilities
  • Prisons & Secure Facilities
  • Oil and gas, onshore and offshore facilities, and overland pipe
  • Engineering procurement (including major electrical, sewer, water and food processing)
  • Research and education precincts
  • Tunnels, road and rail
  • Large and small scale retail
  • Community buildings (libraries, pools etc.)

This exposure and experience enables Scott to prepare reports and analysis in relation to programming, planning and delay analysis as well as advice on construction and project issues, costing, dispute avoidance and resolution.
